What you will do:
This role is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of technical solutions for Safety Training, Environmental Training, Safety Communications and Office Safety.
Identifies appropriate training and communication tools and methodologies (such as e-learning, multimedia, workshop, paper-based solutions, blended solutions, video, etc.) to achieve performance and training objectives.
Identifies and implements training and performance evaluation strategies, monitor and analyze results on a regular basis, and provide performance updates following training program implementations to measure and communicate training program success.
Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of an annual H&S communication plan which includes a broad cross section of health and safety communications applying a variety of communication channels.
Manages MOC processes that are applicable to the development/management of specific Safety Training or other department standards that request safety input.
Who you are:
Related University degree.
Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation/ Certified Safety Professional or other Professional Board Certification preferred.
Seven or more years of professional work experience in the Health & Safety field of a technical or scientific nature.
Proven understanding of Safety Management Systems and Management of Change processes.
Influence without authority and work collaboratively with site partners.
Effective interpersonal skills: specifically in the areas of facilitation, collaboration, and negotiation to influence and drive-forward results and decisions.
Progressive leadership development and experience: coaching, mentoring, collaboration and conflict resolution.
Working Conditions:
Office based.
Up to 20-30% travel.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
